Logic Pro X and Adele

Producer Greg Kurstin on working with Adele and Logic Pro, with some backstory on the creation of Hello.

My love of MacBook

I love the Mac. I feel no need to replace it with one of Apple’s other devices, like iPad, nor would I think of replacing it with another type of Windows-based computer. While Apple has focused a lot of attention and resources on mobile over the past few years, it has also made quite a number of significant improvements to the Mac. That fact is often overlooked by many people in the industry. […]

Review: iPad Pro

I’ve been using the iPad Pro for just over a week now and I’ll tell you, I’m more impressed than what I thought I would be. The first question I set out to solve was “who is the target market for iPad Pro?” While I thought that would be a difficult question to answer, it turned out to be quite simple. More on that later. New Apple TV sets a very high bar

Yesterday’s “Hey Siri” event went impossibly well. Apple revealed one phenomenal new shiny after another. Since the original iPhone release back in 2007, I don’t remember an event with as much heft, as much magic, and with such terrific stage presence. To me, this was Apple in absolute top form.

Though there were a number of moments that vied for second place, by far, my favorite part of the event was the announcement of the new Apple TV. Read on for my thoughts on what is now tops on my Christmas list.

Led Zeppelin to release Deluxe Editions of final three albums

Deluxe editions of Led Zeppelin’s final three studio albums: Presence, In Through The Out Door, and Coda will be released in July. As with the previous deluxe editions, all three have been newly remastered by guitarist and producer Jimmy Page and are accompanied by companion audio comprised of previously unreleased music related to the original release selected and compiled by Page.

Jimmy has done a good job on remastering some of the band’s other works, so this should be worth picking up.
