TomTom began arriving at international App Stores earlier today. Now it is available in the United States and Canada.
TomTom is one of the most anticipated apps for the iPhone in quite some time. While other turn-by-turn GPS navigation apps like Navigon are already available for the iPhone, users seem to have a certain amount of affection for TomTom.
The 1.2GB application costs $99 and is available for download from Apple’s App Store.

I just purchased ALK’s CoPilot app for $35 on Friday. It’s a little slow to locate (I don’t have a window mount) and it seemed a little crashy on the first couple of test runs. But for occasional use, it’s good enough for me.
For $99, it would make more sense to get a dedicated device.
