There has been a lot of positive stories around the Internet about the great apps you can get for the iPad. Unfortunately, none of those including decent blogging apps. I’ve been incredibly disappointed with what’s available to date. What is available is just terrible. Mark Crump pretty much sums up my thoughts in his recent article.
Since neither of the two apps made me all that happy, the multi-app roundup I was hoping for instead became a case of “two apps enter, no app leaves.”What I do know is, neither of these two apps even come close to the feature set most bloggers need.

Dave Caolo of TUAW fame (and elsewhere) has posted a guest blog on Minimal Mac, and it’s a paean to his beloved Apple Extended Keyboard II.
I’ve used other rigs over the years, but when I’m sitting in my own quiet office with the Extended Keyboard II beneath my hands, I feel that I could write forever.
I cannot dispute a single world of what he writes – the EK II is, without question, my all-time favorite Apple peripheral. I’ve tried many keyboards over the years, and have even used ones that compare themselves to the EK II. None have ever come close, and not a day goes by that I don’t miss typing on it.

There has been a lot of discussion about the open Internet proposal put forth by Google and Verizon, but one writer says it is worse than evil. Those are pretty strong words, but Joe Wilcox gives a very detailed rebuttal to the proposal that is a must read.
They say that the devil is in the details. But some things are so evil, the horned harbinger of deceit and doom is an obvious and menacing presence. The Google-Verizon proposal for an “open Internet” is the worst kind of evil, because Google so ardently asserts that “you can make money without doing evil” and the companies convincingly con with a deceitful sleight of hand. Their proposal for an open Internet is nothing of the kind. Google and Verizon offer to grant something people already have (unfettered, wired broadband) while exempting something Internet users want more of (unfettered, mobile wireless).
