Autodesk has announced plans to release its legendary professional design and engineering software AutoCAD for the Macintosh. The software will be available this fall. Paul Devine is the Apple manager charged with taking kickbacks from Apple suppliers in return for leaking information. Prosecutors said in court Monday that federal agents searching his house found more than $150,000 in cash stored in shoe boxes, along with another $20,000 in foreign currency.
Devine must allow authorities to inspect two safety deposit boxes he holds. Given that Devine had so much cash stashed away in his house, the Department of Justice wants to ensure that he doesn’t have money in the safety deposit boxes as well, Kane said.
The judge hearing the case said Devine has to transfer money stored in foreign bank accounts to his U.S. account, and post it plus $600,000 in bail before he can be released.
