Perfect games are rare. Perfect games like this will never happen again. On a personal note, I was in New York City for this game.

Even today, this would be an incredible feat of technology, engineering, coding, people, and equipment. But the fact it happened 50 years ago today makes it possibly the most amazing thing human beings have ever done.

Snoopy is coming to Apple TV+, so Dave and I spend some time talking about some of the TVs on Apple’s upcoming service. We also discussed the elimination of 3D Touch in the upcoming release of iOS.

It’s only a matter of time before this technology enters the mainstream and is used in the big leagues. I think that will be a shame because one of the joys of baseball is that human element of a really bad umpire.

Dave and I wrapped up our thoughts on the new MacBook updates this week, and talked about an old iPhone Dave found in a drawer. We also looked at things Apple could do with the Apple Watch and iPad to help people with disabilities, which is a very personal topic for Dave.

Voyager 1 and 2 are now a mindboggling 13.5 billion and 11.1 billion miles from Earth. The people who originally designed them and the people who keep them working after 42 years should be incredibly proud of themselves.

Holy crap these two people are stupid and I have zero sympathy for them.

Hold’em is my favourite card game and it’s great to see this “classic” back on my phone.

Apple is just scratching the surface of its health care efforts.

This is nuts. I couldn’t go past the first page for fear of being driven insane.

Many magazines have shut down in the past 10-20 years but this one is especially poignant to those of us who grew up in the magazine’s heyday.

This is potentially good news for those of us who have been taken advantage of by third-party resellers.

Fireworks were banned in my little town this year, partially for noise reasons but also because of a fire hazard concern (our town is surrounded by extremely dry forests). Tomorrow is the Fourth of July in the US – will you or your community use the “low-noise fireworks” (which I had never heard of before)?

This is VERY bad news.

Look for more news like this as Apple tries to snap up even more talent for its ARM-based Mac efforts.

Obviously, it’s a design decision but it’s still frustrating.

I definitely would have preferred this version to the one that became Alien 3.
