This is the manifest of things I’ve learned about managing CSS in large, complex web projects during my many years of professional web development. I’ve been asked about these things enough times that having a document to point to sounded like a good idea.
Eric Clapton sued over incorrect song credit on album
The song is “Alberta,” which the album’s liner notes credit to blues guitarist Huddie “Lead Belly” Ledbetter. The suit notes that the song is actually based on the blues song “Corrine, Corrina,” which was written by singer Armenter Chatmon, popularly known as Bo Carter, who recorded it in 1928.
I don’t even know what to think about this. Clapton is being sued for $5 million.

My thanks to Hullo for sponsoring The Loop this week. That sorry old pillow on your bed is long past its prime. It wasn’t even the right pillow for you to begin with. It collapses under the weight of your head at night causing neck pain in the morning. It retains your body heat, forcing you to repeatedly flip it to the cool side in the middle of the night. Your pillow totally sucks, but it hasn’t exactly been nagging you to be replaced like your cracked iPhone 4. It’s time to treat yourself to better rest–you deserve it! Try a Hullo buckwheat pillow. Hullo’s buckwheat hull fill provides unique and firm support that simply can’t be matched by traditional pillows; it will perfectly conform to your head and neck. Hullo buckwheat pillow also:
- allows air to move freely through your pillow, preventing uncomfortable heat build up.
- is manufactured in the USA with organic and all-natural materials.
- is biodegradable.
- ships free of charge.
- is courageously headphone-jack-free.
- One simple pillow can make a difference you’ll appreciate, every night. Test drive Hullo for 60 Nights. If it isn’t your favorite pillow, just send it back for a refund.

Apple delays release of AirPods
“The early response to AirPods has been incredible. We don’t believe in shipping a product before it’s ready, and we need a little more time before AirPods are ready for our customers,”
I love my AirPods and use them all the time. I’ve had a few little issues, but nothing major.

Apple said to unveil discovery for TV shows on Apple TV
Dawn Chmielewski writing for USA Today:
Described to network executives as “the Watch List,” the app will recommend shows based on the content viewers access through their Apple TVs. For example, a subscriber to FX Networks might be encouraged to check out the new dramatic series Atlanta.
I’m still waiting for Single Sign-On that was promised with the release of tvOS 10.

It will continue in places where it is already active, so existing customers needn’t worry. It will be interesting to see how AT&T’s fiber project reacts to this.

Spotify not coming to Apple TV
And according to one of its customer representatives, the Swedish music streaming company is not keen on going beyond its AirPlay support for Apple TV and coming out with its own Apple TV app soon.
This certainly isn’t because of anything Apple is doing to prevent Spotify from making an app—Pandora is on Apple TV, so it’s possible. I wonder if Spotify is just being childish here.
Frank Zappa’s estate goes on the auction block
Up for bid will be a slew of speakers and speaker boxes, more than half a dozen recording and live sound consoles, various vintage effects, analog and digital tape machines, guitars, drums and more. BFD: Metallica’s Black Album Drums
BFD Black Album Drums is an expansion pack for BFD3 inspired by the drum sound featured on the 1991 “Black Album” by Metallica. Produced and recorded by Chocolate Audio (the team behind Imperial and Modern Retro) and featuring the exact same 1980 Gretsch kit that was played on the album along with Zildjian cymbals, a Tama Bell Brass snare and a Ludwig snare.
I love these types of expansion kits. You can get the perfect drum sound that you’re looking for without much hassle.
