∞ Nokia sues Apple over iPhone patent infringement

Nokia, the world’s largest handset-maker, on Thursday filed a lawsuit in the Federal District Court in Delaware alleging that Apple’s iPhone infringes Nokia patents for GSM, UMTS and wireless LAN (WLAN) standards.

Apple on Monday reported its fiscal fourth quarter earnings, posting a profit of $1.67 billion on $9.87 billion in revenue. These results compare to revenue of $7.9 billion and profit of $1.14 billion in the year-ago quarter.
