Ozone 5, Nectar AAX updates
I stopped by the Izotope booth today and got a demo of all the latest plugins, including Ozone 5, the company’s mastering system. New versions of Ozone 5 and Nectar, Izotope’s vocal suite are available as AAX native plug-ins from their Web site.

Apple on Wednesday said it had record revenue of $54.5 billion and record quarterly net profit of $13.1 billion.

Dave Mustaine unveils new double-neck guitar
Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine was at NAMM today to unveil his new Dean double-neck guitar. The guitar was a one-off that Dean built for Dave last year for the “Big Four” concerts — this year they are putting it in production.
Mustaine said the guitar plays like a motherfucker.

Sony admitted that the motivation for the sale was to raise much-needed cash, expected to equal $770m, after debts on the building have been repaid.
