OpenAI is planning to release a new hardware device that will be a movable, screenless speaker built as an AI companion. OpenAI is also fending off a lawsuit from Apple accusing former employees, who now work for OpenAI, of stealing Apple’s trade secrets. AI is also revamping Apple’s plans for how it’s going to release its next set of chips for its devices. AI is demanding more power for every generation of chips. New York has become the first state to impose an AI Data Center ban, citing enormous power usage as one reason.
