Biggest props for promoting other independent podcast apps.
So many podcast apps that I’ve tried that are just broken on certain simple things. Real example like losing you place in the middle of an episode when coming back to the app or not showing the list of podcast until it’s force-ably quit and restarts. I have hope that Marco Arment can get this right.

One question. Can it jump in 15 second increments? Wait, two questions…can it also be controlled from the locked home screen…like Apple’s podcast app? Those are two features I use most while driving.
You can customize how far forward/backward it jumps in the settings. 7, 15, 30, 45, or 60 seconds. (and forward and backward are distinct so you can set them to different values). Also it is controllable from the locked home screen. Hope that helps.
It is free w/ in-app so you can try it without giving him anything but your data.
A lot of the “locked” features are things some people would consider necessary. They tend to all be things regular/heavy podcast listeners would want. One of the big reasons I thought it was worth the price was the “Smart Speed” and “Voice Boost” features. (you can demo them for 5 min without the upgrade). They’re two things that I find unique to podcast apps in general and things that I’ve personally been wanting (especially Voice Boost) I encourage you to at least give the demos a try, you may find you like it enough to upgrade.
I also noticed that the lock screen controls for forward/backward also update to show how much they skip. That’s a nice detail that I hadn’t seen/noticed in other apps I have used.
Most podcast listeners haven’t seen some of those features. I think he’s done a good job of adding a solid value proposition for the in-app.
I just don’t use iOS regularly enough to pay for it. I may do it just to support another indy dev though.
