∞ Unity Technologies announces Unite 11 details

Unity Technologies – maker of the Unity game development platform for iOS, Android, consoles and the Web – has announced details for Unite 11, this year’s gathering of Unity developers. The event is scheduled for September 28 – 30, 2011 at the Masonic Center in San Francisco, Calif.

He was also co-creator and lead programmer for Blizzard’s Diablo and Diablo II. His keynote address will address the changes the game industry has undergone since the release of Diablo, highlighting pivotal shifts in gaming such as the rise of social games, the free-to-play business, digital distribution and more.

Other features of the event include more than 30 sessions from Unity experts and employees, a “road map and wish list” session, a “serious games” showcase, project postmortems on popular iOS and Facebook games made with Unity, hands-on lab time, the annual Unity Awards, parties and more.

Developers with backgrounds in Adobe Flash are also encouraged to attend Flash Day on September 27th, which will give Flash developers a crash course in how to develop in Unity.
