I was sitting all morning watching James and Rupert Murdoch give testimony and all of a sudden there was a ruckus and the video went out.

[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]It looked like someone lunged at Rupert just as the final member of the committee began asking her questions. The camera immediately went dark, but we heard the chairman say that the proceedings would be suspended for 10 minutes.

People are now saying that the attacker punched Murdoch in the face before Murdoch’s wife stepped in and stopped him. Others have said that Murdoch was hit with a white substance, similar to shaving cream.

The video is back on and it’s showing a man handcuffed and what looks like bandages on his face.

The hearings have resumed. Both James and Rupert Murdoch are still in the hearing room, although Rupert is no longer wearing his suit jacket.

One of the committee members commented to Rupert Murdoch that his wife has a very nice left hook.

The attacker was seen being walked out of the building by police.
