∞ Virtual Programming acquires utility maker Syncode

Virtual Programming – best known for its Mac games, most recently Supreme Commander 2 – has announced the acquisition of Australian developer Syncode, a publisher of utilities for Mac OS X and iOS.

[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]Syncode makes Synotes, Syncopy and iTweetReply utilities for Mac OS X and iOS. It’s a bit of a different business than Virtual Programming’s core focus – Mac and iOS games – so it’s little wonder that the two brands will remain distinct, according to a statement from Virtual Programming announcing the acquisition.

Virtual Programming plans to continue to develop the existing Syncode apps along with another one listed on the Web site as “coming soon.”
