∞ Apple releases Security Update 2010-006

Apple on Monday released a security update for Mac OS X Snow Leopard. The issue it fixes only appears in Mac OS X 10.6.4 server and client versions. Security Update 2010-006 fixes an issue where a remote attacker may access AFP shared folders without a valid password, according to notes accompanying the update.

The update is available for download from Apple’s Web site and from the software update mechanism in Mac OS X.
