∞ Square Enix intros free playable digital iOS comic 'Imaginary Rings'

Just in time for Free Comic Book Day this weekend, Final Fantasy publisher Square Enix has introduced Imaginary Range, a free app available for download from the App Store. Separate iPhone and iPad versions are available.

[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]Imaginary Range is a hybrid digital comic and game experience. Players read through a digital comic and play a number of embedded mini-games throughout. “Set in France as it is attacked by an enigmatic menace, the comic features a cast that can freely jump between reality and the world of dreams,” said Square Enix in a press release announcing the game.

Project creators included Motomu Toriyama, director of Final Fantasy XIII; writer and novelist Souki Tsukishima; and art direction by Toshiyuki Itahana, character designer for the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles series.
