Not exactly. I use a capacitive stylus for writing Chinese characters, taking notes and creating simple illustrations. I find it feels more natural and accurate than using a finger. I use it primarily on my iPad but at times on my iPhone as well. I don’t use it all the time, just for these particular activities.

I’ve used the Galaxy note and it’s useless as a phone - it gives you that Maxwell Smart shoe phone feel. But, at least over here, it’s being marketed as something more.

Are you paying extra because of these links? Is pinterest getting your banking info when you pay at those ecommerce sites?
Sounds like a non issue. Like the mall owner getting a percentage of a retailers profits when you walk into a store and buy something.

So, the laser tag gun rumor wasn't true. They're actually issuing REAL laser guns, and Halliburton is going to use iPhones in their spread of capitalism throughout the Middle East, one extirpated city at a time!

They're not "used MP3s", though. That's shaky reporting by Wired, at best.

The key thing is that the only audio files ReDigi accepts are songs purchased from iTunes, so are AAC audio files which have embedded metadata that confirms you were the person that bought the music. (Apple embeds this information in all purchased music.) You can't just rip a song an sell it. ReDigi say their software deletes all copies once a song's uploaded for sale, including on synced devices, so they do appear to genuinely be trying to make sure the user doesn't just sell a copy and keep the song for later listening.

How effective this deletion is is an interesting question. Assuming it passes legal muster, the case then becomes much more about the doctrine of first sale and what rights you have to do what you wish with something once you've bought it; whether the music is actually sold or merely licensed; that sort of thing.

It's analogous to selling your old CDs (or DVDs or books), which the content industries would also dearly love to stop you from doing if they could. Oh, how much more money they could make – and control they could exert – if they could kill the secondhand market!

The right to resell something you've bought is an important right to have, and just because the product you bought is digital rather than physical it shouldn't mean having to give up this right.

Short of RIM axing the Playbook, I don't think so....

I've got a serious vision problem with Apple walking away from ARM architecture, I just don't see it happening. Apple has thousands of people working on the A-series chips. Are they just going to fire all of them? I'm sure a lot of other companies would hope so. More importantly, the great appeal of ARM is that you license the architecture and then design the actual chips however you want. Apple is famously a DIY company, and for it ARM is PowerPC without IBM or Motorola.

So while, yes I agree that you'll probably never see an Ax in a Mac, I'm even more confident you won't see an Intel anything in an iOS device.AS WELL as whatever comes AFTER Macintosh.
