So, uh, did anyone else know you could select multiple apps like this on iOS?
Because I definitely didn’t just discover it. pic.twitter.com/Nq0wfuqzb6

Mind. Blown. Thanks to Dave Nott for the link.

This is old news. Was introduced in iOS 11.
Being able to select multiple apps combined with using another finger to swipe between the pages of springboard is so nice
Yea its old news also you can select images, text blocks, links, etc like that
Who knew? I sure missed that one
Yup, they demoed grouping lots of things at the relevant WWDC keynote.
However, the main problem with drag-and-drop since iOS 11 is it is not discoverable. I keep on forgetting I can do this, and I consider myself an iOS power user. I use my iPad Pro more than my home iMac now.
Old habits die hard. I should revoke my iOS power user assertion. 🙁
I knew it could be done, just didn’t know how.
It’s one of those questions that one used to respond RTFM (read the f* manual).
Kinda hard to RTFM, when there’s no F-ing “M”.
Maybe the biggest pet peeve with the tech industry, is that documentation seems to be outsourced to random news sites, or book writers who’ve only learned second-hand themselves!
“Discoverability” is the buzzword of the day with apps and app design. Why, as a user, do I have to be Magellan, to discover functions, and not have some easily accessable source from the people who MADE the damn thing.
