Apple to release macOS High Sierra on September 25

New technologies at the heart of the system make your Mac more reliable, capable, and responsive — and lay the foundation for future innovations. macOS High Sierra also refines the features and apps you use every day. It’s macOS at its highest level yet.

Along with all the other important announcements, Apple quietly posted the release date for High Sierra.

Sometimes I wonder about them. High Sierra doesn’t even get a mention but Federighi shows off talking poo emojis.

    • I thought that was epic. We nerds already know about macOS.

Bt this isn’t a nerd event like WWDC. it’s for normals… and what does it say that HS gets no time but animated emojis do?

Maybe the talking poo would have been better served if it heralded the release date of High Sierra.

After yesterday’s keynote, the release date of High Sierra was the only thing I cared about.

They largely avoided the Mac or macOS, no?

Maybe they figured it was ground already covered back at the WWDC 2017 keynote.

        • Mo

Yeah. I was hoping one or two neglected-stepchild Macs might get a brief mention. I know that was silly of me.

          • Yup. This was an iOS device Event. No reason to mention High Sierra.

No, they entirely ignored it.I;m not surprised (the Sept events are usually all iPhone) but shunting the Mac off without even a mention and then spending time on, ohhh animated emojis! – if I were on the Mac OS team, that would hurt.
