Business Insider posted this official comment from Apple:

The technology built into today’s iPhone represents the best data security available to consumers, and we’re constantly working to keep it that way. Our products and software are designed to quickly get security updates into the hands of our customers, with nearly 80 percent of users running the latest version of our operating system. While our initial analysis indicates that many of the issues leaked today were already patched in the latest iOS, we will continue work to rapidly address any identified vulnerabilities. We always urge customers to download the latest iOS to make sure they have the most recent security updates.
Ever since this issue started to emerge, I’ve always felt that our interests and Apple’s are aligned, that Apple has our back here.
Gotta love Apple for standing their ground and working to quash security issues.

On tuesday I got a great new Land Rover Range Rover from having earned $8752 this last four weeks.. Its the most-financialy rewarding I’ve had.. It sounds unbelievable but you wont forgive yourself if you don’t check it

Agreed but many in the Mac media are portraying this as “Apple says iOS vulnerabilities in Wikileaks dump already patched”. That’s not what Apple said.

I have not read many other opinions on this as if yet.
Perhaps even more important is the fact that I can download the latest iOS without having to wait for a carrier and some vendor to get off their asses and push an update as is the system in the Android world.
I think that’s a crucial distinction but I’ve always wondered if it’s an issue or even known by the “average” Android user?
Oh I doubt it. Most people don’t keep up with news of this sort and just take what they get. I’m waiting for the Android equivalent of the Melissa and I Love You viruses that hit Windows around 2000 and which finally forced MSFT to take notice of security and were so big that it got some attention. I still remember getting all the bot generated spam email from people who had infected machines… on my Pismo Powerbook so they couldn’t affect me at all.
