If the AirPods come out easily, then there is no step two.
You obviously don’t have airpods.
This is one good way to do it. But it’s not the “right” way. There are multiple right ways, as I have tweeted Mr. Gruber.
That’s why I phrased the first statement as a question.
They are held in the case magnetically. Very cool design.

I bought a pair on December 22nd at an Apple Store. I then caved and gave them to my daughter for Christmas. Now my delivery date for a second pair is February 22nd.
