I think you mean the far side of the moon, rather than the dark side… there is no permanently dark side of the moon since it’s tidally locked to the earth, not the sun.

Joe and Alexander took the words out of my mouth. Dark Side of the Moon is a Pink Floyd album, not part of the natural satellite of Earth.
It’s poetically dark in terms of out attempts to shed light on it with science and technology in our epic quest for knowledge.
It was called “dark side” originally though. It was the way the Apollo program called it.
Then the name was changed to “far side”, so people can have something to nag each other about.
