    Ok Google scans student emails, but what is even worse, Heise.de, a German tech news website, did a test to see how secure Apple’s iCloud email is. They found out that email is sent and received in plain text.

      Perhaps it’s an issue in translation but it seems like they say that actually the mail servers do encrypt. It’s just from the web server to the mail server (which might not go ‘public’ in that process) that it is plain text.
