Dad films kids coming down the stairs at Christmas for 25 years straight

There’s something about watching these kids grow up in front of your eyes that tugs at your heart. Nice job, Dad (via reddit).

Very cool! I’ve been doing the same for 5-6 years. But will I manage to not lose the files? Crashplan don’t fail me.

Oh, and to those that say that the father didn’t live the moment, but instead distracted himself with the filming: suck it. Sight and sound and attention are all virtual and time-shiftable. Recording this stuff puts it in long-term memory with the perfection of memory far better than the human mind’s, and shareable. Of course, as with everything, balance things out. Record stuff occasionally at least, but you don’t have to go overboard. P.s. I can’t tell you how many times my kids watch and re-watch our vacation videos. Total time on vacation: 2 weeks. Total time filming: 2 hours. Watching this years later: Priceless.

Great, great comment Odi. I feel exactly the same.

The dad was totally living the moment. Wonder how many times poor dad got, “Oh dad, not again!” But you know his family cherishes this.

Winning Reddit comment: “the time between boobs sprouting and hairy extra man coming downstairs didnt seem far apart.”
