John Gruber reviews the iPad mini

Last year left me with the impression that choosing the Mini meant accepting numerous trade-offs. That is no longer the case. This is the same device as the iPad Air. The only significant differences between them are size and weight.

I love that the two lines are essentially identical. The mini is better for me size wise but I want the better power. Now I can have it.

    • not better — smaller. different use case. it is not better for me to play Infinity Blade 3 on, or terminal into remote workstations, or watch a movie on…etc. it is better for travel, thumb typing, etc.. different use cases. better is relative.

    “No compromises” in practice.
