Terry Maraccini Thank you Moeskido Please remember veterans by voting for people who don’t cut the federal programs many of them have to rely upon. DanielSw I was lucky/fortunate to get through my tour unscathed. Overall, it was a good experience for me. My particular strategy resulted in me enlisting in the USN in 1969 and spending my four years of active duty in California, Georgia, and Hawaii. I left the service with a deep respect for my brothers and sisters in arms, most of whom have a sincere dedication to duty and the preservation of our liberties and way of life. I’ve enjoyed some of the benefits of military service in the form of the GI Bill and its funding of an electronics correspondence course which was a significant aid in my self study to learn computer graphics in the early ’80s. I’ve also benefitted from the VA Healthcare system. This year I’ve noticed more retail establishments offering discounts to veterans on this Veterans Day. I had a free burger for lunch at Red Robin, and tonight I’ll get a free pizza at California Pizza Kitchen! Yummmm! I also enjoy greeting other veterans I see while out and about who display their respective service insignia, and I often shake their hand and thank them for their service. So a sincere thank you from me to y’all who’ve answered the call!
