Apple to open retail stores at 8 a.m. on November 1 to sell iPad Air

As they did with the recent iPhone launch, Apple plans on opening their retail stores at 8 a.m. on launch day, November 1, to begin selling the iPad Air. The iPad mini with Retina display is coming later in the month.

Buy iPad Air at your favorite Apple Retail Store beginning at 8:00 a.m. on November 1. We’ll set it up just the way you like.* iPad mini with Retina display coming to stores later in November.

* Supplies may be limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

      I am so used to using 8a instead of 8am. Wonder if it’s just a local custom and not widespread. But you are right, I don’t see 8a a lot. Interesting.

    I have sworn off walking into the retail stores for the past few years, I just might do it for the iPad Air though.

      I think the Air is going to be a huge hit, and I think trying to walk into a store is going to be an exercise in futility.

        yeah probably. And I feel really dorky when the employees clap for me as I walk in. I will try ordering online.

    I sold my iPad 3 two months ago in preparation for this moment. iPad Air, here I come. But I am not going to be able to go to a store and get one, so now the question is what time I need to set my alarm for to get up and order one online. I can’t go any longer without an iPad.
