Screens 3 for iOS

Screens allows you to control your computer remotely from your iOS device. I’ve been using this app since it first came out and it just keeps getting better.

Frankly I am disappointed that I have to pay $20 again to use an app that I already bought. I understand that the paid amount goes to the devs (and 33% to Apple) and sure i’m fine with that, but I won’t buy it again. I already bought it in 2010 and got one major update. Why are they trying to double dip the customers that already supported them? Sure all of us out there will just pay the $19.99 but it’s really hard to justify that for someone who is skeptical of how much better an app can be, especially when you can’t return it. I already own the Screens 2.x and from the spokesman of the company “Screens 2 is still a valid and working app nonetheless. There won’t be any active support” So this means that I will not be able to use the software that I purchased. This is a bad taste left in the mouth of the consumer. Its a sad state of the tech industry and proof that software support is no longer a right, it’s a privilege This is why PC software piracy is so popular with people and why the App store Architecture, no matter the platform, is toxic to growth and focused on the bottom line.
