Megadeth’s David Ellefson and Chris Broderick

David Ellefson and Chris Broderick give you some tips on playing guitar and bass. Ellefson is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met.

  • They seem like real genuine people. That’s nice to see. It was also nice to see some respect given to Graham Maby, Joe Jackson’s bass player. He’s one of my all-time favorites.

I have heard the same sentiment about David from a friend of mine who has worked on a recent project with him. Really nice, down to earth person.

Having worked in a capacity where I had quite a bit of contact with the Megadeth guys in the 90s, I can attest that Ellefson is indeed one of the nicest guys you could meet. Having to deal with others in the racket — who for the most part were nothing short of rank A-holes (Rose, Zombie, Tyler, Anselmo to name but a few) — were it not for Ellefson’s hair and guitar chops, you’d think you were talking to a kindergarten teacher rather than a rock star.
