Twitter hacked, data exposed for 250K users

“However, our investigation has thus far indicated that the attackers may have had access to limited user information – usernames, email addresses, session tokens and encrypted/salted versions of passwords – for approximately 250,000 users.”

If you haven’t changed your Twitter password lately, now would be a good time.

  • I’m totally gonna play the shill here, but I’m reminded of just how awesome 1Password is every time something like this happens. Even if they get my password, it’s unique to Twitter and changing it is as simple as clicking a few buttons to generate and save a new random password for the site.

    • +1 for 1Password! It’s so easy of having unique passwords for every site/service/what-have-you using this app. I wouldn’t want to use a computer without it anymore.
