I saw and heard this new series at NAMM and it was really interesting. They model different power valve responses, which is a really interesting way to shape the tone.

    I have an HT-1R in my study, an HT-5R in my little studio and I use their Series One 50 on stage – the most versatile amp I have ever used (and I went through a handful of Mesa’s throughout the last 25 years). And I would re-buy each of them if they were lost or stolen. Blackstar’s amps handily beat the biggest names in the industry, and even most “boutique” amps costing a multiple. (The only non-Blackstar amp I kept is a handwired AC15, because it does some sounds no other amp can.)
