Google sued for snooping on Apple users

Apple customers in Britain have begun to seek compensation after the search giant bypassed security settings on their iPhones and Mac computers, allowing it to track their browsing habits.

Don’t be evil Google. Also funny that the American press isn’t all over this — if it was Apple being sued, it would be front page news everywhere.

Sounds like the same ol’ same to me regarding the wifi data but they’re targeting one device family. Any new news here other than a new suit?

Oh and I ask ’cause the full article is blocked with a pay wall.

In my cynicism about the stock market I would not be surprised if Google stock goes up because of this as this is perceived as “innovation.”

As the APPL $500 pegging shows, there is no American press anymore expect for a few lone voices. Most of the ‘press’ is corporate PR.

I am guessing that Google, giving so many things for “Free”, gets a pass in American culture. Personally, I would not touch Chrome OS with a ten foot poll. Google is already snooping to much in to my online usage.
