Pivot Power Mini

That looks cool.

Meh. Too large and partially covers the other outlet. So you use one outlet to create two, but in so doing you cover the already existing second outlet. So all you gain is 2 USB chargers.

Personally, I think the Belkin mini surge protector with 3 outlets and 2 USB is better. I also like the Monster Outlets to Go line. Either of those products is more functional and looks smaller than this. Also, they are both cheaper.

Yeah, we use one of the Belkins when we’re on the road, works great, though it’s the old 500mA version, it will still charge a couple of phones.

Now they’ve got a new 2.1A version that should charge even an iPad.

The Belkin is also a pretty clever design, the power plug can rotate 360 degrees, so it’s easy to get it to orientation that works best (and still allows access to the other outlet).

Unfortunately it blocks the 2nd outlet so it is only adding 2 USB ports and replacing the 2 grounded outlets. Design to look ‘nice’ over function. I have another unit that is nearly the same size that supplies 4 outlets (adds 3) plus 2 USB ports (on the side instead the top). It also pivots but doesn’t block the second port. Is is small enough to pack.

You should read the product reviews. Apparently those two USB ports are just for looks – it can’t charge two iPhones at the same time.

This is half the price and smaller. I have one and it works great.
