I love the detail that goes into these designs. The shadows and buttons — just great.

    Can’t help but notice that 90% of these are music-related, where clean streamlined interfaces aren’t necessarily desired because they will hide some infrequently-used features that need easy access when they come up. In those cases, mirroring the physical interface isn’t a bad plan.

    Having Notification Center on slate gray resume paper, on the other hand…

    I suppose there’s value in providing designs that help new users make the transition from physical hardware to software that emulates it.

      Yep. And it can be a bit of fun.

      My real issue is designers spending tons of time on things like shadows and then there are huge flaws that affect usability. iOS 6 being a great example.
