    Talk about pure rock: guitar, drums, and vocals. Not even rhythm guitar and bass until two line before the chorus.

    I was 11 when Highway to Hell came out, normally a bit young for AC/DC, but I had older uncles and aunts who babysat me a lot. As a result I was exposed to music most gradeschoolers weren’t. I remember my aunt Carol playing this record (vinyl LP) on my parents’ stereo and rocking out with her and my younger sister while Mom & Dad were away. She was probably wearing white cords, a pukka shell necklace and velvet bamboo flip-flops.
