When it comes to devices, kids’ holiday wish lists are simple this year. The most-wanted gifts are predominantly from one company—Apple. According to a recent Nielsen study, Apple’s popularity leading up to the holiday season continues a trend seen over the last couple of years, with American kids aged 6-12 generally more interested in the latest iOS offerings than other consumer electronics and gaming devices.

It’s going to be a good quarter for Apple.

    I brought my iPad 2 with me on a visit to a medical lab today, and the techs were oohing and ahhing over it. One said he was thinking about getting a tablet instead of a laptop.

    I think Apple’s iPad market really is going to be at least a big part of the existing laptop market and installed base.

    Even my Android-using brother-in-law (whom I nevertheless like very much) bought his son an iPad.
