Tens of people show up for Microsoft launch

George Canellis sent in this picture from the Microsoft Store at the Walt Whitman Mall. Even though nobody showed up, Microsoft employees were only letting a few people in at a time.

Everything I have read about this launch seems soooo depressing.

      What launch? ;-)

At least there were mall security guards on standby to shoot anyone who got out of line.

Just the most important stuff for them in the last 2 years or so. Windows 8 and the Surface. I’m guessing that’s why so many people showed up. ;)

Only stuff that’s been around for a long time that Microsoft is FINALLY getting around to implementing themselves and marketing it as cutting edge, targeting those that have been under a rock for the past decade. (I was going to say, “or 40+ years old,” but have you seen the new interface?)

It’s far more depressing that they named a goddamn MALL after Walt Whitman.

    Mostly dudes.

Must have been some really lame concert tickets.

Reminiscent of the Meet the Fockers getting on the plane scene. Poor old Microsoft. “Windows 8 has fixed all the bugs” Really?
