The funniest, stupidest RIM article ever

Tim Collins writing on why RIM will make an amazing comeback. At first I thought it was a parody, but then I realized he was serious — that made it even worse.

I’m interested in his views on revitalizing the pterodactyl population as well.

      inquiring minds want to know!

I’m very open to the “anything’s possible” philosophy because, in the tech world, it’s a truism. That having been said, this article is part RIM PR material, part wishlist and part rose-colored glasses. Could RIM make a comeback? Maybe, but if it does it wont’ be for the reasons this guy cites.

“Teenagers still use Blackberries” I guess he’s just a bit out of the loop with the younger generation. It’s all iPhones and Androids, unless the kid/parent is stuck in a contract. A year ago I begged my niece to get an iPhone, she got a blackberry. A year later she got an iPhone, and told me getting the blackberry was the dumbest thing she’s done in a long time.

The truth is it’s over for blackberry.

I stopped reading at that point. To the author of the article: Provide links to easily verifiable claims or it isn’t true.

the only place I can think of where this is true is in the UK

Y-yeah, restin.’ Remarkable bird, the Norwegian Blue, isn’t it, eh? Beautiful plumage!

This parrot is no more! It has ceased to be!

this is all that came through while reading this demonstrably terrible article.

Anyone ever wander how come Jim hates RIM? I am confused since RIM is Canadian and absolutely not a threat to Apple.

    • scott

Should Jim embrace RIM just because they’re Canadian if they’re doing an embarrassing job and destroying the worth of the company?

“I am confused since RIM is Canadian”

Contrary to (apparent) popular belief, every Canadian isn’t automatically in love with everything that is Canadian. Being Canadian isn’t like being in a cult.

Another day, another petty dig at RIM. I’m surprised he’s not parading outside their headquarters with a “God Hates RIM” sign. Sad and unprofessional.

I love #9 – ” If BB10 can offer us something new that we always wanted but never thought was possible, we’ll buy it.” That’s a pretty big ‘if’. If Apple, or Microsoft, or Samsung do the same, would he buy that too?
