RIM embraces its black sheep status

People are embarrassed and ashamed to use their BlackBerry devices because they suck so bad. RIM has embraced it with a blog post from new blog manager Donny H.

For what it’s worth, Donny H. likes Pizza, cars and music.

I could not make this shit up people.

It’s like reading something related to Justin Bieber or Twilight, with their #Teams and “#believe”s.

Their comment section needs moderator approval! They are just as bad as the people they criticize (I thought the NYT article was pretty silly).

It’s worth it just for the comments! “I rather be a black sheep than an iSheep any day.”

What is this moderation nonsense? I wanted to post – “I had some good years with my curve 8900. Same with my Nintendo 64″

I’ll believe in BB10 when I see it. Sometime next year. Maybe. Perhaps. Unless it’s delayed. Again.

From the comments: “I resently avoided being mugged because the thugs saw I had a blackberry.” I guess they’re good for something after all! LOL!

One of the fantastic comments in that thread is

“I’m content to be a ‘black sheep’ than to let a ‘fruit’ determine my place in society. […} When asked to say something about the BlackBerry, all I can say is: I can’t live without it!”

Blackberries are still considered to be a fruit, right? Am I missing something here?

No. No you are not. No one is more invested in their products purchases than someone that routinely goes out of their way to slag the purchases of others.

    Also, he’s “pumped.”

You have to admire the stones of RIM. Anyone else would by now be too embarrassed to brag, and would be committed to shipping a product.

    But not RIM.

They’ll brag first, then fail to ship. Not just once, but over and over.
