eBay reports positive Q3 results

The company reported third quarter net income on a GAAP basis of $597 million, or $0.45 per diluted share, and non-GAAP net income of $718 million, or $0.55 per diluted share. GAAP and non-GAAP net income were up 22% and 14%, respectively, year over year due primarily to strong top-line growth, said the company.

Great results from eBay. Congrats.

Congrats my ass. I used to sell a most of my older items thru eBay until they started charging ridiculous fees for everything. Here is your final value fee that has gone up 20% in the past 5 years…here is your PayPal fee based on the final price, now what we’ve already charged you for the final value fee…here is the fee for the shipping cost you just charged. That last one is what finally pissed me off enough to quit them and go with Amazon’s seller account. eBay wants to charge me a fee for shipping when it’s based on the actual cost of shipping to the person that’s bought it? Sorry, but F U eBay. Sorry, for the rant, but eBay is a totally different company since I started selling in 99…

Same here. Screw eBay, they only made a profit because they gouged the hell out of their customers. Not ever using them again for anything.
