This week’s piece of shit article from Forbes

Larry Magid:

…but let’s not get too excited about Apple once again catching up with its competitors.

Wait, Apple invented the modern tablet and yet they are catching up to the competition?

I’m predicting a snooze fest not because of lack of interest in the product or lack of theatrics during the announcement but because I’d be very surprised if we see anything incredibly revolutionary relative to what we’ve seen in other tablet announcements.

So let me get this straight. If Apple sells a gazillion new tablets and people are excited, it will be a snooze fest? But if they don’t sell any, it will probably be a failure, right?

The only snooze fest is that article.

I thought that was a pretty fair article actually. And apple didn’t invent the tablet. Gene Roddenberry invented the tablet. I really hate the apple press. You are such a bunch of immature ,whining, cry babies. I’m typing this on my iPad btw.

The article is a piece of crap. The writer assumes he knows Apple’s market better than Apple. I’d say the same think about similar writing of any company in that tone. Link-bait, nothing more. Of course, we follow the links so we are the problem, when all is said and done.

It’s a snoozefest that will sell roughly a bajillion units.

there’s nothing revolutionary about other tablets either … they are just different sizes (MS Surface is different, to be sure, but revolutionary? come on!)

    One word: ‘Education’.

This product will be cheap and easily obtainable by thousands of schools and their children. Apple’s plan to revolutionise the education system starts on October 23rd.

    Brilliant move Apple, well played.

Stupid crap like this article has reached such a high-level of annoyance to me that I’ve actually lost nearly all motivation to even turn my computer on.

MS Surface is different because it’s a netbook marketed as a tablet.
