I always liked Dave Thomas, the founder of Wendy’s.

    We in central Ohio have very fond memories of Dave. The persona he played in his commercials was actually the real Dave, and what he had done for our community as well as for adoption was amazing. A very giving man who remembered where he came from.

    Also, the logo refresh is pretty good. Can’t wait to see how it looks on the buildings.

    I like it. A rare logo re-imagining that doesn’t botch it up. If only there was somehow a way to tastefully incorporate Dave into the logo, but that probably wouldn’t have worked well.

    The logo did need an update, the new one’s cleaner and less Old-West, but I’ve seen way too many consumer-product logos convert to hand-written type in the past 15 years. Some of them look downright infantile, which is no accident.
