Apple releases OS X 10.7.5

Apple has posted an update to OS X to bring it to 10.7.5. The new release, recommended for all Lion users, includes fixes that “improve the stability, compatibility and security of your Mac.”

Specific changes include:

  • Resolve an issue where icons in Launchpad may get rearranged after a restart
  • Improve Wi-Fi reliability for iMac (Late 2009 and newer)
  • Resolve an issue using Spotlight to search an SMB server
  • Improve compatibility connecting to Active Directory servers

It’s available through the Software Update system preference and from Apple’s Web site.

There’s also the part where 10.7.5 includes Gatekeeper; that’s probably worth mentioning.

I’m curious if the issues which were resolved with Mountain Lion are included — ie: iCal’s restored calendar list views, Adressbook’s group view mode as well as a restored “Save As…” among others.
