AT&T says iPhone 5 ‘set sales records’

AT&T confirmed Monday that the iPhone 5 is the most popular iPhone model in the company’s history, calling the “fastest-selling iPhone the company has ever offered.”

Customers ordered more iPhones from AT&T than any previous model both on its first day of preorders and over the weekend.

The device will be available starting this Friday, September 21, 2012. In the U.S., it’s also available with service from Verizon and Sprint.

Do you have anything to comment on about this or are you just being an Apple marketing robot?

      How’s this “marketing”?

How is that not marketing, Moeskido?

That’s part of a report on the product’s retail availability. Calling it “marketing” means you’re claiming the owner of this site works for either Apple or AT&T. Unless you can show proof, all you’re chewing on is sour grapes.

Yeah, because obviously Apple is having trouble generating interest in this phone and they need all the help they can get.

      [Insert eye rolling where appropriate.]

Exactly. Hell, there’s some people deep in the rainforest who have never seen a human outside of their own tribe … they all pre-ordered on Friday.

As someone who has a degree in marketing I have to say I’m offended by your blatant ignorance as to what constitutes ‘marketing’.

      • Endlesskoke133

You might want to return that degree if you can’t acknowledge this post as marketing.

This is a brief report. If The Loop were affiliated with AT&T, Verizon, or Sprint, you might even call it ‘affiliate advertising’ but marketing it is not. This has to be done by the company that Peter is reporting on here and it involves more than advertising or the writing of press releases.

Nope, I think I’ve earned that degree.

You already posted this on another article. I’ll bet your plan for the day is to paste this on every site you find that posts about the iPhone 5 setting sales records.

You have no business calling anybody a robot.
