Like nachos, but with ice cream

Huffington Post:

Baskin-Robbins debuted Waffle Chip Dippers on Tuesday — soft-serve vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup, M&M’s and Snickers pieces. The ice cream is served with waffle and brownie chip pieces meant for dipping. Sound a bit like the dessert version of nachos? That’s what Baskin-Robbins is going for.

This sounds like the greatest single advance in soft serve ice cream delivery in the history of the medium.

So. . . wait. . . is this an early beta of Andriod 5 or an honest-to-goodness icecream treat?

Um, nachos are usually tortillas with stuff already smothered all over them. Maybe some sour cream/guac to dip in, but certainly they’re preloaded with toppings.

So this isn’t like nachos, it’s like chips and salsa, where you dip unadorned chips in the good stuff.

    C’mon HuffPo.

And I live on the other side of the planet, some 11 or 12 time zones away from the East Coast of the USA. All I can do is sit looking at the picture longingly.

It does look rather good :)

A diabetic blogging food porn? I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not.
