iPhone No. 1 in customer satisfaction… again

J.D. Power and Associates released its Smartphone Customer Satisfaction Study, measuring customer’s overall enjoyment with their current phone.

For the eighth consecutive time, Apple and the iPhone topped the list. According to the survey, Apple scored 849 out of a possible 1000 points, and performed “well in all factors, particularly in physical design and ease of operation.”

Apple’s closest competitor was HTC with a score of 790.

The study is based on experiences reported by 8,736 smartphone owners and was conducted between January and June 2012.

Jim, your zero key is sticking. Out of possible 1000. 🙂 Samsung not very good at copying this iPhone feature….

  • Ok Canucker already said that… bye! 😉

    … and already fixed…

Would be great to hear about the evolution of that score. What did it look like last year or so, is it better? Anyway, I’m hoping it will even improve with that new iPhone being announced on September 12th.

  • And Samsung falls slightly below the average. Interesting how they still fall short after copying the best device.

    • Clearly you’ve never used a mimeograph.

    • That’s because no matter how well you make your hardware, the phone still runs Android. They should feel lucky they’re only slightly below average.

iPhone came out in 2007, it is now 2012… has Apple really been in the smartphone business for 8 years? What am I missing?

Edit: TAUW author said “consecutive years”, while Jim here said “consecutive time” My bad. I should have posted on TAUW…
