    Oh, come now, Mr. D. It’s simply part of the natural evolution of consumer tech.

    One animal proves itself superior, and the rest all tart themselves up to look just like it.

    Aside from the obvious metal case and island-style “chiclet” keyboard, a more subtle but interesting Apple design ripoff is the lack of technology “badges” that seem to infect Windows notebooks. The only pictured machine to have them has only three, in contrast to some I’ve seen where there 6-10 labels for the OS, processor, GPU, USB bus, and more.
