Samsung could face court penalty because of lawyer

Samsung could face penalties from the U.S. District Court in Northern California after one of its lawyers involved in the patent battle against Apple admitted that she hadn’t file the paperwork necessary to practice law in front of the court.

Samsung’s lawyers haven’t been impressive so far.

If only Samsung’s lawyers could “benchmark” their strategy against that of Apple’s, they would have an easier time.

I’ve been saying that from jump! The lawyers are blowing it.

It’s worth mentioning that some members of the legal profession are encouraged to intentionally throw games, so to speak. I believe the practice is stupid and clearly unethical, but “building the record for appeal” is often a tactic that is taken too far than professionally acceptable.

It’s particularly useful to defendants when they know an appellate court is, or might be, more sympathetic.

It is not like they had a case to begin with…….there was nothing epic enough to copy!

This is insane. The Samsung lawyers are pissing off the judge left and right. Who are these yahoos? But in the end it is up to the jury. I hope we don’t see another O.J. moment here.

This particular yahoo was also Michael Dukakis’ campaign manager in 1988. Samsung is really picking a winning team to sell their cause to the jury…

If the jurors follow the letter of the law, I fear Apple will probably lose. If they use their common sense, Samsung will have to change their name to Swansong.

    And she’s a law professor.
