AMC Pacer

I laugh every time I see it.

LOL! This was what my parents owned in 1983 and I, a high school senior, drove it to school every day. Most of my friends did not make fun of it, because if they did they wouldn’t have a ride home. Their other car was a Gremlin – I kid you not.

    Party on, Wayne!

I loved those cars! I always thought they’d be great if they were chopped and channeled. They’d sort of look like an American Disco Volante that way. :-)

This cute British reporter did not note the most common description of the Pacer was the “fishbowl.” The upside down bath tub was a Porsche 356 convertible. Agreed, a fun video!

My brother had one. He bought it new. Then he let someone else drive it and they totaled it. It was a goofy car.

I love the speedometer needle bouncing around. Happened so much with American cars of that generation. Haven’t seen that too much lately!
