They weren’t kidding around when they called it a “heavy” relic. I bet it sounds badass too.

Dear god almighty, does this mean musicians are going to pay more for artificially distressed guitars much like the over priced fashion house distressed blue jeans of years past?

    Just wondering

Yes. The whole “relic” movement is hotly debated in most guitar forums. You pay extra to have someone damage a brand new guitar and simulate years of use. It’s easier than going on the road for 15 years with the same Strat. Personally I think it’s stupid. A beat up instrument means you didn’t take care of it. Why is that cool, again?

One of these days I’m going to custom order a rosewood (fretboard) stratocaster with a sunburst jaguar body. I love the sound and setup of a strat, and the look of the jaguar. I used to have an olympic white jag, but the floating tremelo drove me nuts.

I also like the idea of being able to switch all 3 pickups on and off without the toggle switch.

Wait, so, a jaguar with strat pickups and tremelo…otherwise wired and setup as a jaguar.

    Yeah. Awesome.
