The bullshit story of the week

There’s a a lot of shit stories out there, but a site called “Trusted Reviews” outdid everyone. They actually did a comparison between the Microsoft Surface and the iPad to see which one was better.

How in the sweet hell do you compare a product that isn’t on the market, nobody has touched and we don’t know the full specs or even price.

Bullshit.

love it! they should’ve just compared against the iPad 4 while they were at it, since it hasn’t shipped either…

i think the best part is “it offers a kickstand” as part of the “features” of the Surface…

      Everyone needs a kickstand.

especially my kids, who will snap it off within 30 minutes of purchase.

People will love the kickstand when they inevitably try to use the surface as laptop, in their lap.

They’ll just use touch typing when in that scenario, I assume.

Bullshit is right. They should have reviewed the Surface against the iPad 4. That would be a fair review.

Sounds like one of those super-duper “HANDS-ON REVIEW” articles at Cnet, where they start the article by stating they haven’t actually touched the product.

Pageviews Jim. That’s what it is all about.

Don’t you have to have a website that more than 100 people have heard of before you start worrying about Pageviews?

      • http://www.johncblandii.com John C. Bland II

That’s why you worry about them…need more ad sales. :)

Why is everyone hopped up on pageviews? What do they signify? I never see any ads so it cannot be about that.

You don’t see that big ol’ ad in the top right of the linked page and the 5 down the right side column?

The more ad impressions [pageviews, in a simple sense] the more money you make. If you have high traffic [a lot of pageviews], you can get better deals on ads and possibly join better ad networks [like The Deck, etc].
